HOMEWORK 9/16 & CURRICULUM NIGHT TOMORROW!!!! 9/17

Please complete your homework for tonight! It is better to do a little bit each day than to do it all at once.
I want to see you filling your logs with the correct amount of pages and time spent reading.

*****If you didn't hand in your homework today and/or missing parts of the HW please hand it in tomorrow.

Going forward, HW is due Monday, September 16. Parents must sign the packet and please check your child's notebook to make sure it is complete! Reading is done in reading, math is completed in math, and writing is completed in writing! If I don't receive the packet and work in the notebooks, a missing HW slip will go home to be signed and returned. After two missing HW slips a phone call is made.

CURRICULUM NIGHT IS AT 4:30PM, 5:30PM, AND 6:30 PM! I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO ATTEND. IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT AND HAVE ANY QUESTIONS/CONCERNS PLEASE EMAIL ME AT RHillpot@schools.nyc.gov

Back to school! 9/16 Reminders

Dear Parents and Students of Class 5-102, 

Students, I am looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow morning. I hope you had a restful weekend. Please be on time and come prepared. 

Reminders:

Workshop tools include: folder, notebook, post its, pen, pencil, and highlighter. You must have these tools for every workshop.

Homework packet is due tomorrow 9/16/15 and homework in the notebooks will be checked.
Please make sure the Homework is signed by your parent or guardian. 

Thank you all for the supplies. Please to continue to bring in all supplies labeled.

Please begin to bring in the Summer Packet that was given out the last week of school.

5th Grade Supply list!

Hi All!

Below I will post the 5th grade supply list if you have not already purchased supplies. Please send in the supplies with your child in the morning. Thank you!

School Uniforms (Burgundy shirt/blouse and khaki pants/skirt, Tan sweater)
6 packs of Ticonderoga pencils with erasers
1 pack of colored pens for editing (green, red, blue and purple are acceptable colors
2 packs of pens (blue or black ink)
2 packs of markers
3 packs of black dry erase markers
Large zippered pencil case (please, no plastic boxes!)
12" ruler with inches and centimeters (for home)
1 protractor
4 pcks loose-leaf paper
5 packs of white printer paper (81/2 X 11) -staples brand, 500 sheets
7 hard covered compostion notebooks (for Reader's and Writer's Workshop)
6 two pocket folders, one of each color (1 blue, 1 yellow, 1 green, 1 purple, 1 orange, 1 red)
4 paper towel rolls 
1 pack of glue stics
1 Webster's Pocket Dictionary
1 bottle of hand sanitizer
2 clorox wipes
Flash card sets: multiplication/division/fracion (for use at home)
1 staples sharpener
1 pack of colored pencils
1 pack of highlighters
1 pack of index cards
1 pack of consturction paper
4 boxes of facial tissues
1 thesaurus
2 packages of post it notes ( large size)
1 box of gallon size plastic bags
